At Aspen Heights, we recognize the importance of taking a whole-school approach to wellbeing, and this is why we have many progressive and ever-evolving initiatives in place to promote the positive mental health and socio-emotional wellbeing of our community. These are also heavily embedded into the curriculum at our school.
We are proud to have been awarded a Silver Award for Mental Health by the Carnegie Centre of Excellence for Mental Health in Schools. We received this for our proactive approach to wellbeing at Aspen Heights and efforts in raising the profile of mental health.
From our principal, Mrs. Emma Shanahan holding yoga sessions for families, a well-being hub for secondary pupils to having our own little animal kingdom on-site, Aspen’s mental health programme ensures social and emotional support to all members of our community.
