At Aspen Heights, we are dedicated to ensuring our young people develop the skills, knowledge and understanding to be responsible adults, conscious of how their actions affect the wellbeing of our local and global environments. We provide our students with an eco-friendly environment, helping to instil a sense of responsibility towards the world. Our unique environmental initiatives like the hydroponics greenhouse, and in-school animal care initiative enable students to understand the role they can play in furthering sustainability.
The year 2023 has been declared the “Year of Sustainability” by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and welcomed by schools all over UAE. As the head of a school that places environmental awareness and stability at the forefront of its curriculum, our Principal Emma Shanahan was invited to share her thoughts on this initiative.
