Celebrating Arabic Week at Aspen Heights

Arabic Week at Aspen Heights is always an exciting time for our community. It is a time to celebrate the Arabic language and culture. This year, for the week,  the Arabic department organized a variety of events and activities focusing on the four main skills needed for language learning: reading, writing, listening and speaking. As engaged learning is an integral part of our curriculum, these skills were then further linked with activities like art, calligraphy and drama.

Students become storytellers by reading an Arabic book to their classes,  they even wrote their own amazing Arabic stories and designed innovative posters for them. All our year groups took part in competitions throughout the week and ended the week by dressing up in Arabic attire! Awards were also given to students who excelled in the competitions and gave their best.

We also had families, including grandparents, aunts and uncles, visit our school to read stories in Arabic and participate in the activities alongside students. It was definitely a memorable and fun week for our entire community.
