Wellbeing yoga – The wellbeing of our children, staff, and families has always been an integral part of our ethos and values at Aspen Heights. We ensure that support is given to students within our classrooms, we provide training for members of staff and also provide wellbeing sessions for our entire community, including our Aspen families.
Supporting this focus we put on wellbeing we have launched ‘Wellbeing Yoga’ sessions for our Aspen mothers led by our Principal, Mrs. Emma Shanahan. Yoga is known to help reduce stress and anxiety and gives those attending our sessions a great opportunity to connect even more with our community. We have carried out three yoga sessions so far and they have been a great success. Along with a relaxing yoga session of 30 minutes, mothers that attended got to connect with Mrs. Shanahan to engage in discussions and share ideas.
One of our mothers said, “I would like to thank Aspen Heights for this event. It was lovely and a very good session. I really enjoyed talking to Mrs. Shanahan and the other parents. It was a lovely morning and a great way to start our weekend.”
